Nokia Buys Content Geotagging Company MetaCarta

Nokia has purchased MetaCarta, which combines geosearch and geotagging capabilities to make data location-aware. Nokia, the world's largest handset maker, said it will use MetaCarta's technology to add functions to local searches on its handsets. An analyst said geolocating could let Nokia add geographical data to applications.
