Although we just heard today that Leonardo DiCaprio is in early talks to play J. Edgar Hoover in the Clint Eastwood directed biopic, another project has already had that actor attached for a while now. The Deep Blue Good-By is an adaptation of the first book in John D. MacDonald's mystery series first published in 1964 and is one of DiCaprio's many projects in development as an actor and a producer. Now Deadline and RiskyBiz (both thinking they have the "exclusive") have learned that Oliver Stone is interested in directing. This would be the second adaptation he's considering to follow Wall Street 2 with, the other being Savages.
