Cedeno's walk-off single carries Pirates

|

PITTSBURGH -- The Pirates' bullpen set the stage, and Ronny Cedeno came through on cue. With one out in the bottom of the 10th, Cedeno's RBI single broke a string of eight scoreless innings for the Bucs' offense to give the club a thrilling 4-3 walk-off win over the Dodgers in front of 31,061 at PNC Park on Wednesday night.
The inning started with a gift from Dodgers second baseman Blake DeWitt, who fumbled a routine grounder off the bat of Lastings Milledge. After Jeff Clement moved Milledge to second with a sacrifice bunt, Dodgers reliever Ramon Ortiz walked the next two hitters to load the bases for Cedeno. Pittsburgh's starting shortstop then worked out of an 0-2 count and delivered the game-winning RBI single to left-center.
