An IT Nightmare: Patches for Windows, Oracle and Adobe

While Microsoft fixed 25 vulnerabilities on Patch Tuesday, Oracle joined in with 47 vulnerabilities and Adobe Systems released Acrobat and Reader security updates. Microsoft's WinVerifyTrust validation can be forged, while malware attacks are focusing on video. One analyst said it may be time to switch to the less-vulnerable Windows 7. On April's Patch Tuesday, Microsoft issued 11 security bulletins to address 25 vulnerabilities. Nine of those flaws are rated critical. On the same day, Oracle and Adobe Systems also released security updates. Oracle addressed 47 vulnerabilities and Adobe is issuing fixes for both Acrobat and Reader, making this month a nightmare for IT administrators in most enterprises.
